Once upon a time, not too long ago, a man got tired of eating the same boring and unhealthy foods. He wanted something delicious, fun and healthy to eat. He looked around and thought about his different choices, but none of them excited him. He desired something new

The man decided to set out on a journey in search of Epicurean enlightenment. He traveled to faraway and exotic places. He met and befriended the inhabitants. He lived as the natives live. He ate what they ate and drank what they drank. Gradually through his travels, he discovered many new and fun things to eat. And he discovered how eating certain foods and spices imbued him with spirit and vigor.

After a few years of wandering, he realized that many people from his home also grew tired of eating the same trite foods, and feeling unhealthy. He decided to return home so others might learn what he already new: The power of healthy fun food. So World Curry was born!

TASTE OF CURRY WORLD. The drill here is simple: Scan the chalkboard carefully. Look at what's in those pans in front of you. Ask a question or two of the "What's that?" variety. Get your plate filled.

Pick out a Jamaican soda like ginger beer or champagne cola from the cooler behind you, and move on to the cash register. Then sit down and enjoy.

Sweet plantains, which are usually grilled and slick with oil, are instead baked and quite healthy-tasting. The black beans, made from scratch, held distinctive flavors that can not be imitated.

"A few days later, my wife, Judy, always attracted by what she can't get elsewhere, ordered a plate of curry goat, listed under the Jamaican dinners. Judy loved the tenderness and taste of goat, which wasn't at all strong. Owners Julie and Dennis Ramroop buy it from a place in Texas known for raising goats for commercial consumption".

"I went for lamb, my favorite curried meat. It was as tender as any I've had, and I couldn't get enough of the sauce. Like most everything here, it's nicely seasoned with island spices."
